On 12th July 2025 (Saturday), Greenway Nepal and GirlsWalk_Nepal team came together for a scenic cycling adventure that celebrated movement, community, and culture.
Starting from StationDe Greenway at Arun Thapa Chowk, Jhamsikhel, the route took the team through:
Central Zoo – Nakhu – Bhaisakepati – Bungamati – Khokana – Sikali Temple – Jalbinayak – and finally, Bhanimandal.
The ride was a perfect mix of greenery, heritage, and peaceful trails, giving riders a refreshing escape from the city rush.
To refuel, we took a delightful break at a local Yomari stop, where we savoured traditional Newa flavours. It was a much-needed treat after the morning ride.
What made this ride extra special? Our female riders led the entire ride, proving yet again that cycling spaces can be inclusive, fun, and empowering.
